Wiz Khalifa Talks Blended Families, New Album + Tour and Being An “ON”

Wiz Khalifa stopped by The Angie Martinez Show with his signature calm energy and that familiar laugh—but make no mistake, the Taylor Gang general is all business these days.

At 37 years old, Wiz is entering a new era—one where fatherhood, focus, and fire music all live in harmony. “It’s a job for real,” he says when reflecting on his long-standing career in the game. But don’t get it twisted—he’s still got that edge. “I’m not cranky,” Wiz tells Angie. “I will always say stern.” Especially when it comes to handling business: “I got a lot of people on my payroll—I can’t be letting people slide.”

On the personal front, life’s been sweet. Wiz recently welcomed a daughter with his girlfriend Aimee Aguilar. “I love having a new baby—it’s a girl,” he says, beaming with pride. And when it comes to blending families, he makes it sound simple. “It’s all figured out, it’s not complicated at all. We just figure it out… it’s more of us being respectful of the other person, the other household… we help each other a lot.”

That mutual respect extends to his co-parenting dynamic with Amber Rose, especially when it comes to raising their 12-year-old son, Sebastian. “She reaches out to me as a dad to teach and guide him rather than just telling him,” Wiz shares.

As for Bash’s future in music or the arts? Wiz is in no rush to push him in any direction. “He’s just being a kid… he’s just finding himself… he hasn't found his passion yet.”

Wiz is clearly in work mode as he preps to drop a brand-new album, arriving just in time for 4/20. “We took the original format of a mixtape—that same method still works,” he explains. “It’s perfect for smoking, chilling, hanging with the homies. It’s 100% for my fans.”

That fan love fuels his hustle. “I know when I work hard I get results,” he says confidently. “I just keep that going… I’m super confident.”

But he’s not just grounded—Wiz is aiming high. Space high. He tells Angie that flying on Blue Origin is still on his bucket list. “I would have def gone into space with the all-female cast,” he reveals.

And while Wiz is ready to hit the road for tour, he jokes about Angie never showing up at his shows. What they do have in common, though? A shared love of golf—something both are surprisingly passionate about.

Wiz Khalifa’s new album drops Friday, April 18, and you already know he’s heading back on tour. Still cool, still consistent, and still “that O-N.”
