French Montana, DJ Khalid & More Steer New American Cancer Society Campaign

2017 BET Experience - STAPLES Center Concert Presented By Coca-Cola - Night 2

French Montana, DJ Khalid, Jhené Aiko, and Kristin Chenoweth have teamed up with American Cancer Society to serve as celebrity ambassadors for the organization's new campaign, "Get #YOUnited."

The organization teamed up with these celebrities this month to encourage their families, friends, and followers alike to spread the message of getting united to fight against breast cancer by purchasing limited-edition merchandise and providing donations. To support the campaign's mission further, each ambassador shared their compelling stories and designed an exclusive team T-shirt in support of all breast cancer patients, survivors, and anyone affected by the disease.

In public service announcements, the ambassadors expressed how they've been personally affected by cancer.

French Montana spoke up about his friendship with Nalie Augstin, a breast cancer survivor and a key partner in this campaign. “I met my friend Nalie several years ago when she was battling cancer and did the dance challenge to [my 2017 song] ‘Unforgettable,'” Montana said. “She’s an inspiration to me, always positive and always smiling. That’s why ‘Thriver’ best describes her. This is my gift to her and the others out there living with breast cancer.”

Jhené Aiko mentioned she wanted to honor her brother who died from brain cancer back in 2012. “I wanted to create something personal for my ‘Team Yagi-san’ in memory of my brother and those affected by this disease,” Aiko said. “I partnered with my good friend Kerby Jean-Raymond to design something special.”

This campaign is the perfect kick-off for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All proceeds from the shirt sales and regular donations will benefit the ACS to continue funding its mission and supporting breast cancer patients.
