The amazing "Black Panther" star Chadwick Boseman accepted his award, for embodying a superhero on the big screen, and gave it to a real-life hero in our mists.
Chadwick gave his “Best Hero Award” to real life hero James Saw Jr – the man who stopped a Waffle House gunman and saved the lives of many in Antioch, Tennessee this past April.
Before Chadwick graciously gave away his award he said:
"Receiving an award for playing a superhero is amazing, but it's even greater to acknowledge the heroes we have in real life," Chadwick said. "If you don't know James Shaw Jr., he fought off a gunman in Antioch, Tennessee at a Waffle House. He saved lives, Come on up here."
"So, this is gonna live at your house," he continued, handing over his award to James Saw Jr
It's great to see celebrities like Chadwick spreading love, being humble, and honoring those who deserve their flowers while they're alive!
