JAY-Z's Roc Nation issued a statement following a report that attorney Tony Buzbee allegedly gave a woman a venereal disease.
On Thursday, December 19, TMZ reported that Tony Buzbee, the attorney who filed lawsuits against JAY-Z and Diddy, is facing a new lawsuit from a woman who accused him of giving her an STI. The woman, known as "Jane Doe," claimed Buzbee had taken advantage of her ever since they met online in 2018. She met up with Buzbee for a dinner date in his hometown of Houston. After he booked a 5-star hotel, the woman said she had sex with him without knowing he had a venereal disease.
The woman said she started to "feel uncomfortable sensations around her groin" and immediately made an appointment with her doctor. After she confirmed it was an STI, the woman called Buzbee to tell him. He apologized to her but didn't seem shocked by the news since he allegedly knew he had it. Buzbee allegedly told her not to tell anyone about the unidentified STI and offered free legal advice as compensation.
She said she felt ashamed, yet continued her relationship with Buzbee anyway. He reportedly took her on trips to Panama and New York City where he owns a home. Things started going downhill after she realized Buzbee was manipulating her into keeping his secret. The controversial attorney, who's currently representing dozens of other alleged victims of Diddy, called the new lawsuit "false, frivolous, laughable and ridiculous." He also predicted the suit would be dismissed and even reported the lawyer who filed the recent lawsuit to the authorities. Meanwhile, JAY-Z's Roc Nation also shared their thoughts about Buzbee's latest lawsuit against him.
"Mr. 1800 said today that ROCNATION is criminally responsible for his legal woes with ex-clients/ex-lover who is accusing him of transmitting venereal diseases, assaulting, falsifying documents and stealing client monies," the statement reads. "No and no. God is behind that sunlight you keep referencing. We are not the source of every sunlight that you get but ROC sunshine is coming your way Mr. 1800. Shameful."
The reports of Buzbee's latest lawsuit comes a few days after the attorney sued Roc Nation along with lawyers Marcy Croft, and Quinn Emanuel for what he believes is a violation of various state laws, including barratry and impersonation of a public official. He claimed Hov's label and attorneys illegally solicited a former client and offered them money to sue Buzbee's firm.
