Cassie is personally speaking out amid all the legal drama involving her ex Diddy.

On Thursday morning, May 23, the artist and model posted her own emotional statement and expressed her gratitude to everyone who has supported her throughout the most difficult period of her life.

"Thank you for all of the love and support from my family, friends, strangers and those I have yet to meet," she began. "The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning."

"Domestic Violence is THE issue," she continued. "It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past."

"Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to take this matter seriously," she added. "My only ask is that EVERYONE open your heart to believing victims the first time. It takes a lot of heart to tell the truth out of a situation that you were powerless in. I offer my hand to those that are still living in fear. Reach out to your people, don't cut them off. No one should carry this weight alone."

Cassie ended her statement by emphasizing that her healing journey is "never ending" and thanked everyone for their support. This is the first time she's speaking out about the situation for herself. Cassie's noble post comes days after CNN debuted security footage that shows Diddy assaulting her at a hotel in Los Angeles back in 2016. After the video was released, her lawyers responded for her and emphasized how it revealed Diddy's true "predatory behavior."

Days later, Diddy himself offered a public apology, but couldn't legally mention Cassie's name due to the terms of the settlement they reached last year following her explosive lawsuit. At the time, Cassie's attorney's said the apology was a sign of "his pathetic desperation" and asserted "no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words.”
