There was a shooting at the Irving Plaza last year while Troy Ave was in the building. Yes, Troy Ave did survive but his bodyguard Ronald McPhatter was murdered. The family of Ronald is accusing Ave for exploiting his death by using him as a shield to protect himself. Ronald’s sister stated “This man never came to me, my mom, nor my brother and offered us anything, He used our brother as a human bulletproof vest. Instead of apologizing he talks down on us.”
